Steninger and Dershowitz as a panel to defend the US Constitution | Government and politics
The discussion, set to begin at 3 p.m. PT, is part of a larger newspaper project called “Defending America,” which “draws on the principles and rich history of our nation to educate the public about critical issues facing the United States today, such as constitutional rights, censorship, electoral integrity, and the threat of socialism.
Based in New York City, The Epoch Times was founded by a company affiliated with Falun Gong, a popular movement in China that has reportedly attracted persecution from the Chinese government and criticized the Chinese Communist Party.
Steninger was appointed to the county committee in 2014 by Governor Brian Sandoval following the death of Grant Gerber, and elected to that position in 2016. He was editor and co-editor of the Elko Daily Free Press from 1992 to 1999.
Steninger has been a vocal opponent of the coronavirus restrictions imposed by Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak.
